Bikini Body Recipes: Yogurt Parfait

Look, the global pandemic may have curtailed your beach-going season but that doesn’t mean your summer bod needs to go the way of a hibernating grizzly bear. No, a vaccine will be found and everyone’s gonna want to be swimsuit ready for when we’re all allowed back outside.

To keep your figure fit and runway-ready, we’ve compiled a handful of Bikini Body recipes to ensure when you slip on that A’QUA Swim bikini, you make the statement you want and drop jaws. To kick it off, here’s our perfect Bikini Body Yogurt Parfait.

What You’ll Need

1 ½ cup of good great yogurt, preferably non-flavored or vanilla

½ cup Raspberries

¾ cup Blueberries

2tbs organic strawberry preserves

3-4 Low-fat Honey Maid Graham Crackers

A tsp of dark brown sugar

How to Make Your Bikini Body Yogurt Parfait

  1. Wash your fresh fruit. Set aside.
  2. Crush graham crackers.
  3. Add brown sugar to graham crackers and mix. Set aside.
  4. Get a large, tall drinking glass.
  5. Add a small layer, 1-3 tbs of yogurt.
  6. Add a layer of raspberries.
  7. Add a layer of graham mixture.
  8. Repeat adding small layers of fresh fruit, yogurt, and graham crackers until you nearly reach the top of the glass.
  9. Add layer of strawberry preserves at the top for a splash of sweetness.

You can swap out the fresh fruit and preserves for your preferred fruit as parfaits work with a multitude of fruits!

Chocolate and Coffee – A Boss Babe’s (and Boss Man’s) Go To Treats

There are some things we just cannot live without. None of our bikinis would ever get made without coffee, numerous cups a day actually. Salads and healthy eating are part of our healthy lifestyle but we could never relax at the end of the day without a nibble of chocolate or something else sweet.

Our world runs on coffee and chocolate and we love to support small brands who are making exceptional and artisanal products just like us here in the USA.

Noah’s Chocolate

The Best Chocolate Bar You’ve Now Just Discovered

Noah has spent the last several years of his life traveling the world, tasting raw honey and raw cacao. Now he brings you truly raw chocolate bars that anyone could replicate in nature by simply using sticks, stones, and a bowl. Our current favorite bars are the Honey Coconut and Sea Salt Chocolate. They pair perfectly with a nice medium body red wine.

These chocolates are complex and simple in their deliciousness and made with natural ingredients in Fairfield, Iowa.

Noah’s Raw Chocolate also offers vegan chocolate bars for those with dietary restrictions.

Batdorf and Bronson

Our Daily Bean; the fuel of A’QUA Swim

We here at A’QUA Swim drink a lot of coffee. We mean A LOT. It fuels us through design sessions, hours of sewing, all day photoshoots, and so much more. Each sip is moment to savor.

In the remote highlands of 9th century Abyssinia, now Ethiopia, a lone goatherd named Kaldi noticed his goats were full of energy, dancing and prancing, after eating a small red fruit from a nearby shrub. Not wishing to be left out of the fun, he ate the cherries and soon he was dancing too. According to legend, Kaldi and his goats had discovered coffee. This is where Batdorf and Bronson’s Dancing Goats house blend gets it’s name

Dancing Goats is perfect in our home espresso machine but also lends itself to drip coffee or pour-overs.

Dark, smooth, and sweet, with a beautiful floral aroma; Dancing Goats has an exceptionally clean acidity with a heavy, nutty body. Its complexity makes for both a flavorful espresso with rich, rusty reddish-brown crema, as well as an excellent drip coffee.

While this is our favorite and one of the most approachable coffees we consume, Batdorf and Bronson features a wide array of roasts to comfort or challenge your palette.

Iron Wolf Coffee Co

For the man in your life

Established in 2019, Iron Wolf Co. is a Southern California lifestyle brand built by three friends who want to share their passion for motorcycles, music, and specialty coffee. While they originally planned to open a shop in Baja, Mexico, the team encountered political push back which has led us to search for a new home.

Iron Wolf’s philosophy speaks to the journey we all take to become stronger, better versions of ourselves in spite of the hurdles life throws at us and their coffee is no different. Robust and oak forward in flavor. This roast is best enjoyed in a french press or around a campfire.

In addition to making an earthy roast of coffee, they

A’QUA Swim’s Top 5 Favorite Summer Cocktails

With the sun in the sky, music playing, your favorite bikini on, lounging by the pool or the ocean, we know how to relax and maximize every sense. A big part of that is having a delightful cocktail in your hand with nothing to do and let time fly by.

Paloma

Always tart and refreshing, the Paloma’s origins stem from Mexico but when it was first created remains a topic of debate. But that won’t stop you from enjoying one.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. tequila

• 1/2 oz. lime juice

• pinch of salt

• grapefruit soda

The Build

Combine the tequila (Reposado tastes best), lime juice, and salt in a tall glass. Add ice, top off with grapefruit soda, and stir.

Last Word

This is a strong and mighty drink with high alcohol content so beware. It’s typically the last cocktail you have before you leave the bar. However, it does a great job at balancing tart and sweet to make it a truly delicious cocktail by the pool.

Ingredients

3/4 ounce gin

3/4 ounce green Chartreuse

3/4 ounce maraschino liqueur

3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

The Build

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.

Mint Julep

Made famous as the official drink of the Kentucky Derby, this summer beverage dates back to early colonial America as a morning elixir. We don’t care because it had bourbon and mint in it and those are two things we love.

Ingredients

• 3 oz. bourbon

• 5-6 mint leaves

• 1 tsp. sugar

The Build

Pop in the mint leaves into the bottom of a pre-chilled, dry pewter cup. Add sugar and crush a little bit with a muddler. Pack glass with finely cracked ice, then pour a nice 3 ounces of bourbon over the ice. Stir briskly until the cup frosts. Add more ice and stir again before serving. Stick a few sprigs of mint into the ice to get a nice aroma.

Mojito

Cuba’s most famous and refreshing drink. Mint is also great for the digestive system so be sure to eat the garnish when the liquid is gone.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. white rum

• 1/2 oz. lime juice. Fresh squeezed is preferred

• 1 tsp. superfine sugar

• 3 mint leaves, club soda or seltzer

The Build

In a collins glass, muddle lime juice with 1/2 to 1 tsp. superfine sugar. Add mint leaves and muddle them against the side of the glass. Fill glass 2/3 with cracked ice and pour in the rum. Pitch in the squeezed-out lime shell and top off with club soda or seltzer.

Margarita

A classic and refreshing summer favorite.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. silver tequila

• 1 oz. Cointreau

• 1 oz. lime juice

• coarse salt

The Build

Chill a cocktail glass, coat the rim with lime juice, and dip it in coarse salt. For a little spice, coat the rim with Tajin. Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and ice together in a cocktail shaker. Shake it up, then strain into the glass over ice. Enjoy!

NON-ALCOHOLIC OPTION

For those who don’t consume alcohol, we have a bonus cocktail that will put you delightfully at ease.

Cold Brew Mint Julep

Ingredients

10 mint leaves

½ ounce simple syrup

3 ounces cold brew coffee

10 mg CBD lavender bitters (optional)

The Build

Muddle half the mint leaves in the bottom of a rocks glass.

Stir simple syrup and cold brew over crushed ice.

Add CBD lavender bitters.

Garnish with remaining mint sprigs.

Sweetest Girl

Today I woke up to the sweetest email from a client. We custom designed a bikini together. She wanted something USA themed and we came up with the cutest suit I think a ton of girls will adore. It made my morning.
